As the war rages on in Ukraine, many heavy-music artists have been chipping in to raise funds and awareness to help the people of the embattled country — from homegrown heroes Jinjer to Primus' Les Claypool. Count among them Avenged Sevenfold, who, in March, launched a benefit "Guardian Tee" featuring a design by Ukrainian artist Crypto Vandals, with the band personally matched the donation made for each shirt bought.
Now, A7X frontman M. Shadows has chimed in with an update, thanking fans for their participation and pointing out how exactly the money raised so far has been used. "This is real life," he wrote on Twitter, adding, "Our T - Shirt donation bought many bullet proof vests for the Ukrainian people to save lives."
