DETHKLOK's first tour in 11 years: See setlist and video of kickoff show

Dethklok have commenced the latest phase in their triumphant return. Last night, the real-life version of the cartoon Metalocalypse band played the kickoff date of their first tour in 11 years, which went down in Houston alongside their tourmates in the Japanese kawaii-metal favs, Babymetal. 

The tour comes right on the heels of Dethklok's brand new album, Dethalbum IV (their first in a decade!), and the release of the first-ever Dethklok movie, Army of the Doomstar.

Needless to say, Dethklok fans have had a lot to be excited about lately, and that energy looked to carry over into the live environment when the death-metal brutalists cranked through a hefty, career-spanning set. 

The 17-song setlist leaned heavily on the classics, featuring 10 songs from their iconic debut, The Dethalbum, and several fan-favorites from its subsequent sequels. Additionally, the band blessed fans with the live debut of two Dethalbum IV cuts, "Aortic Desecration" and "SOS."
