Corey Glover is best known as the soulful powerhouse singer of funk-metal favorites Living Colour, but he's also the leader of a more freshly minted group called Disciples of Verity. Unveiled last year — we premiered the group's debut single "Worthy," featuring a guest turn by Arch Enemy shredder Jeff Loomis — the band also features bassist George Pond (Negative Sky) and drummer Corey Pierce (God Forbid), as well as guitarists Danny Puma and Mark Monjoy. On their latest offering, "The Flow," Disciples of Verity have called in an assist from another famous friend: Sevendust timekeeper Morgan Rose. The result is a high-octane, djent-inflected ripper propelled by Glover's rafter-shaking vocal — blast the song above.
"The idea that the word isn't giving you what you deserve is universal," Glover comments of the song's theme. "Given the unrest in the world, today it's more than an idea."
"The Flow" will be available on all digital platforms on June 26th — you can pre-save the single now. It's also set to appear on Disciples of Verity's upcoming full-length, Pragmatic Sanction, which is scheduled for release in late summer/early autumn. Stay tuned for details.
