Revolver has teamed with August Burns Red for an exclusive "bloodshot" colored vinyl variant of Death Below, limited to just 500 copies worldwide. Grab yours from our shop before they're gone!
Earlier this week, metalcore vets August Burns Red announced their 10th full-length album, Death Below, due out in March 2023. The follow-up to 2020's Guardians will be the band's first for SharpTone Records, and it features a handful of notable guests including Killswitch Engage singer Jesse Leach and Underoath screamer Spencer Chamberlain.
Today (November 3rd), August Burns Red are queuing fans into what the record will sound like by sharing lead single "Ancestry," which just so happens to be the one that features guest vocals from Leach. Hear it above via YouTube.
"'Ancestry' is a complex and technical ABR track held together by perhaps the most painful and personal lyrics Jake [Luhrs, vocalist] has ever written," said guitarist JB Brubaker in a statement. "I loved this song in every phase since its inception. From the instrumental rendition, to the lyrics and vocals being added, to finally bringing it all together with Jesse's anthemic guest vocals, 'Ancestry' is a song we've been looking forward to sharing with the world for a long time."
Death Below's 12-song tracklist also includes guest appearances by guitarist Jason Richardson (now of All That Remains, formerly of Chelsea Grin and Born of Osiris) and Erra frontman JT Cavey (formerly Texas In July).
The album will be released March 24th via SharpTone and it's now available for pre-order in a variety of formats, including a Revolver-exclusive 2LP vinyl variant on "bloodshot" colored wax that's limited to just 500 copies worldwide. Grab yours from our shop before they're gone!
