Next week, gothic metalcore crew Motionless in White will unveil their new album, Scoring the End of the World. Previously, the band shared three powerful singles — the industrialized "Cyberhex," the slow-burning "Masterpiece," and the utterly crushing "Slaughterhouse" featuring Knocked Loose vocalist Bryan Garris. Today (June 3rd), the band are offering up one final preview in the form of the album's title track, which features none other than Mick Gordon, the renowned video game composer known for soundtracking classics like DOOM, Wolfenstein and Prey.
Musically, it falls somewhere in the middle of all the tracks we've heard from the LP thus far. It's got some heavy breakdown grooves and screamed verses, but a truly triumphant and hopeful sounding main hook, as well as tons of eerie atmosphere that give it that signature MIW touch. Scoring the End of the World is out June 10th via Roadrunner Records and you can pre-order the CD from our shop.
