Last month, Narrow Head unveiled the title track off their upcoming album, Moments of Clarity, an exemplar of their modern, shoegazy take on classic grunge. Today (December 13th), the Texan outfit — led by frontman Jacob Duarte, also of Skourge and Sexpill — offered up a second, more aggressive single, the barreling "Gearhead," which evokes the hooks-laced heaviness of Nineties Helmet. The song arrived alongside a fun, atmospheric music video capturing the band as they rock a pool party. Watch and listen above.
"This is the type of song I've always wanted to write," Duarte commented. "A hardcore song with a catchy hook. If you ever wanted to describe our sound to someone, start with this song."
Moments of Clarity is due out February 1st on Run For Cover Records. You can order it on black vinyl at Revolver's shop.
