As Revolver noted in 2020, Portland's Uada don't make your typical blast-beat-dominated, Satan-worshipping, corpse-paint-slathered black metal. Their sound leans instead into the subgenre's more experimental realms by way of goth- and folk-inflected cosmic meditations.
Their latest such meditation is "The Dark (Winter)," a dynamic, nearly eight-minute epic and the second single off the enigmatic group's recently announced new full-length, Crepuscule Natura. Stream it above via YouTube.
UADA commented of the LP: "The forthcoming album, Crepuscule Natura, is an album themed upon resurrection and a recall to the band's roots while simultaneously expanding its past sphere of growth."
Crepuscule Natura is due out September 8th through Eisenwald Records and up for pre-order in an array of collectible formats. These include a gorgeous splatter vinyl variant exclusively available at Revolver's shop and that of our sister brand BrooklynVegan. Only 200 made — order yours now.
