When he's not winning Big Air gold at the X Games and throwing Halloween ragers for charity in his backyard, mega ramp skater and Revolver homie Elliot Sloan is making music, often of the headbangingly metallic variety. The dude's even written and recorded an original song called "Revolver" — which soundtracked his episode of our skateboard video series "Ride the Lightning" — and now, he's unleashed his latest ripper, "Death Lead the Way," an all-star-assisted cut from his new outfit Night Fiends, a duo rounded out by his roommate and In Flames drummer Tanner Wayne. The shredtastic cut, available on all major digital streaming services, also features the talents of Lost Society singer-guitarist Samy Elbanna, the Black Dahlia Murder guitarist Brandon Ellis, and drummer Sean Elg (Nihilist, RattBlack).
"We've been jammin' and writing together for a while and thought it would be sick to have a big collab project with a bunch of guest artists and friends who are amazing musicians," Sloan tells us of Night Fiend. "This first song is called 'Death Lead the Way.' It features the singer from Lost Society, he did the vocals and the solo in the beginning, Brandon Ellis — my favorite guitar player — from the Black Dahlia Murder did the solo at the end, and my longtime friend Sean Elg. It's one of my favorite songs I've written. We've got a ton of music we've been workin' on and I can't wait for people to hear it!" Blast "Death Lead the Way" above via Spotify.
