TOOL bassist Justin Chancellor has been a busy guy lately. Earlier this month, he announced a new album from his experimental ambient side-project MTVoid, and now he's popped up on new song from instrumental post-metal band Night Verses.
The track is a meditative jam that appears on Night Verses' new double album, A Color In The Valley Of Night, and Chancellor adds his magical touch to the track's snakey, vaguely TOOL-ish demeanor. Listen above via YouTube.
This isn't the first time Chancellor has crossed paths with team Night Verses. Back in 2021, the bassist teamed with Night Verses drummer Aric Improta (then of Fever 333) for an experimental psych-metal jam called "EXU." Clearly, these guys get along.
Later this fall, Chancellor's MTVoid will release their first LP in 10 years, Matters Knot Pt. 1, and you can pre-order Revolver's exclusive colored vinyl variant over at our shop.
The first half of Night Verses A Color In The Valley Of Night is out now, with part two arriving in early 2024.
