Last night (December 8th), two Swedish metal juggernauts — Meshuggah and In Flames — tore through Huntington, New York, in support of their most recent albums, 2022's Immutable and 2023's Foregone, respectively.
Tennessee deathcore pioneers Whitechapel opened the show, but the evening belonged to the Scandinavian heavyweights. In Flames — playing with their newest member, former Dillinger Escape Plan bassist Liam Wilson — ripped through an 11-song setlist, packed with classic cuts and newer favorites alike.
Meshuggah, the headliners, absolutely crushed with their impossibly tight, impenetrably dense math-metal assault, opening with Immutable's "Broken Cog," and closing their 12-song set with the one-two-knockout-punch encore of "Bleed" and "Demiurge."
Photographer Kevin Wilson was on hand to catch the action — see some of his standout shots below.
