Yesterday (April 27th), Metallica launched their M72 World Tour in support of their new album, 72 Seasons. The two-year trek — which features two nights and two totally different sets in each city — kicked off at Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with Architects and Mammoth WVH opening the show.
Metallica's set featured a satisfying mix classic material from throughout their catalog, and also the live debut of two 72 Seasons songs, "Screaming Suicide" and "Sleepwalk My Life Away."
Of course, fans had their phone cameras up for the whole gig, and there's already an array of videos on YouTube that show Metallica ripping through the new songs. See how the 72 Seasons cuts sound above and below via YouTube, and check out more footage from the show — including Metallica's setlist — right here.
72 Seasons is out now via Metallica's own Blackened Recordings. Get your copy here.
