In a recent interview with The New York Times, Pearl Jam vocalist Eddie Vedder minced no words in regards to Mötley Crüe and the late-Eighties hair-metal scene. "'Girls, Girls, Girls' and Mötley Crüe: [expletive] you," he said, adding, "I hated it. I hated how it made the fellas look. I hated how it made the women look. It felt so vacuous."
Now, Nikki Sixx has responded. The Crüe bassist and songwriter, who is set to hit the road with his band later this year on a big stadium tour, took to Twitter and wrote, "Made me laugh today reading how much the singer in Pearl Jam hated @MotleyCrue. Now considering that they're one of the most boring bands in history it's kind of a compliment isn't it?"
See Sixx's full tweet below. Crüe's tour with Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts is set to kick off on June 16th in Atlanta, Georgia.
