Philip H. Anselmo has just announced a new virtual concert to celebrate the legacy of his iconic groove-metal band Pantera.
Titled "A Vulgar Display of Pantera," the multi-camera shot, live performance will take place on Friday, April 9th, and find Anselmo and his band the Illegals delivering a set made up of songs from Pantera's five classic records: Cowboys From Hell, Vulgar Display of Power, Far Beyond Driven, The Great Southern Trendkill and Reinventing the Steel.
"It's always fun to get together with the Illegals and pay tribute to Pantera with all the awesome fans jamming along with us," says Anselmo. "Let's do this!"
The livestream will kick off at 7:00 p.m. EDT (4:00 p.m. PDT) on Friday, April 9th, with an opening set from Australian grindcore crew King Parrot. Anselmo and the Illegals — guitarists Stephen Taylor and Mike DeLeon, drummer Jose Manuel "Blue" Gonzalez, and bassist Derek Engemann — will take the stage at 8:00pm EDT (5:00 p.m. PDT). The show will also be available via video on demand through Monday, April 12th, at 11:59 p.m. EDT (8:59 p.m. PDT).
Advance tickets are going for $12.50, which bumps up to $17.50 the week of show. Get your tickets and exclusive merch bundles at illegalslive.com.
