After the success of 2018's Evil Beat, Vol. 1 festival in their hometown of Dallas, Power Trip are set to come hot out of the gates in 2020 with a follow-up fest featuring exactly the kind of well-curated lineup of punk, metal, hardcore, post-punk and indie you'd expect from the Texas decimators. Dubbed The Return of the Evil Beat, the one-day mega-fest is set to take place at South Side Ballroom in Dallas on January 11th, 2020, and boasts some of the most exciting names in heavy music and beyond. Joining Power Trip will be Carcass, Vio-Lence, Deafheaven, Razor, Sheer Mag, Drab Majesty, Prurient, Warthog, Torche, Wiccans, Red Death, True Widow, Red Death, Special Interest, Mil-Spec and Dress Code. Tickets are on presale now using the code "evilbeat" and will hit general sale at 10 a.m. CST. One dollar of every ticket sold will be donated to PLUS1 and given to "organizations bringing dignity, equity, and access to communities who need it."
Power Trip recently gave a wide digital release to the single "Hornet's Nest," which originally hit via Adult Swim in June 2018.
