As a solo performer, Robert Plant has frequently included Led Zeppelin songs in his setlists for years, but it had been over a decade-and-a-half since he last performed his old band's most iconic song, "Stairway to Heaven." Over the weekend, that finally changed.
During his Saturday night (October 21st) set at a charity concert for The Cancer Platform at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, Plant publicly sang Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" for the first time in 16 years.
That night, Plant also played other Zeppelin staples like "Black Dog" and "Thank You," but it was the 10-minute power-ballad that stole the evening. At 75-years-old, Plant doesn't have quite the same range he once did, but for the most part, he sounded totally spot on.

Developed by the Cancer Awareness Trust and organized by former Duran Duran guitarist Andy Taylor, the concert was dubbed An Evening With Andy Taylor And Special Guests, and it featured Plant, former Pink Floyd bassist Guy Pratt, Andrew Ridgeley of Wham!, prolific drummer David Palmer (ABC, Andy Taylor, etc), comedian Katherine Ryan, and more.
