Philly hardcore juggernaut Soul Glo have musical influences from all over the map, and one of those happens to be System of a Down.
As a matter of fact, the alt-metal titans' skronky, word-filled sound definitely shares a kinship with Soul Glo's spit-fire hardcore invectives, so it was fitting that the group — who Revolver readers just voted the second-best band in hardcore — covered the SOAD song "Soil" for a new video series.
"Soil," a deep cut from System's 1998 self-titled debut, isn't a song that you hear bands cover very often, but Soul Glo did a good job spinning it into their own thing — as part of the Sounds Of Saving & 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline's 'Song That Found Me At The Right Time' series.
