Slayer announced last month that they would be releasing a concert movie interwoven with narrative film footage titled Slayer: The Repentless Killogy, and now the demonic thrashers have revealed the film will be shown in over 1,500 theaters around the world for a one-night event on November 6th in partnership with Trafalgar Releasing (the same folks behind the recent run of Rob Zombie's 3 From Hell).
The narrative portion starring Danny Trejo and Jessica Pimentel is being touted as a tale of "revenge, murder, bloodshed and retribution," while part two features Slayer's entire performance at the Los Angeles Forum on August 5, 2017. Their current, final worldwide tour is set to conclude at that very venue on November 30th.
Trafalgar's CEO Marc Allenby says, "The film expertly demonstrates how Slayer has become one of the most influential metal bands of the last three decades, bringing together the creative forces of film and music to create a must see on the big screen."
Following the film's worldwide screening, it will be available digitally and on Blu-ray with the soundtrack arriving shortly after as both a two-disc vinyl and two-CD packages. Tickets for the November 6th event will be available starting October 9th at slayer.film, where you can also sign up to receive up-to-the-minute details regarding the premiere and the events around it.
