Throwdown's pummeling third album, the mosh-pit classic Haymaker, turned 20 earlier this year, and today (July 20th) comes word that the O.C. heavyweights will be reuniting to celebrate the milestone.
The big comeback show is scheduled to go down on the main stage at Furnace Fest in Birmingham, Alabama, Friday, September 22nd.
Throwdown's Furnace Fest set will mark the group's first performance since 2015, first in the U.S. since 2011 and first with the Venom & Tears lineup — vocalist Dave Peters, guitarist Mark Choiniere, bassist Matt Mentley and drummer Ben Dussault — since 2007.
Also in the works is a 20th anniversary reissue of Haymaker, complete with reimagined artwork and remastered audio courtesy of noted metal producer Zuess. It will be available on vinyl, CD with longbox and cassette. Stay tuned for more details.
