Underoath recently announced their sixth studio album — and first full-length in eight years — Erase Me. After sharing the record's blistering first single "On My Teeth," the Floridians have revealed a second new track, the moody "Rapture." The twitchy cut arrives accompanied by a haunting music video, which finds the band tearing through the song against a backdrop of blinding strobe lights, latex walls, and, at one point, a woman covered in black goo.
"I think we really wanted to capture something different with this video," guitarist Tim McTague says the clip. "The song is so unique for Underoath and we have always been a visual band. I think being able to tell a visual story with an audible narrative that ties everything together is one of the things that makes Underoath special to fans. We are stoked to see the reaction."
Erase Me, the 11-track follow-up to 2010's Ø (Disambiguation), arrives April 6th via Fearless Records. Underoath will embark on a tour behind the album shortly afterwards; find the whole itinerary here.
