Earlier this year Neurosis' Scott Kelly took us to Oregon's Crater Lake, a volcanic caldera lake that draws travelers from around the world for its clear waters and intense blue color. It's a place that Kelly loves and regularly visits, drawn by its peacefulness and beauty. During our visit there, the singer-guitarist performed a solo unplugged rendition of "Stones From the Sky," a classic cut off his band's 2001 album A Sun That Never Sets. We present the performance here as episode 2 of our "No Distortion" series, which features heavy-music artists switching off their amps, stripping down songs and showcasing their more introspective side.
