This past summer, Megadeth played the Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival, which takes place at the infamous Ohio State Reformatory, a.k.a. the main location of The Shawshank Redemption and a world-celebrated location for ghost-hunting.
While there, Dave Mustaine and Co. were filmed for an episode of the new video series Paranormal Prison, hosted by Power Hour's Josh Bernstein, who (full disclosure) was also a longtime Revolver team member. The show finds Bernstein taking some of Inkcarceration's biggest artists through the Ohio State Reformatory on a search for the supernatural.
Erected in the late 1800s, the Ohio State Reformatory served for nearly a century as a working prison, housing more than 150,000 prisoners — 25,000 of whom died there, according to estimates. The prison, which is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is recognized as the world's largest free-standing steel cellblock.
