Well, we didn't see this one coming! Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has teamed with System of a Down singer Serj Tankian on a doomy new song called "Deconstruction."
The song is paired with the launch of Gibson Band, a revolving cast of musicians sponsored by the Gibson gear company, and helmed by Gibson CEO Cesar Gueikian, who co-wrote "Deconstruction" with Tankian.
Additionally, the cover art for "Deconstruction" was painted by Tankian himself. All of the proceeds for the track will be donated to the Armenia Fund charity.

This isn't the first time Iommi and Tankian have teamed up. In 2000, the duo of metal icons collaborated on the song "Patterns," which appeared on the Sabbath axman's 2000 solo debut, Iommi.
